“To celebrate my husband's 40th birthday, I decided to do something different than our usual routine and looked for a private chef in Stavanger. Noêma came up on my search with beautiful pictures and descriptions of their food and service so I reached out. Panagiotis immediately replied, which was a relief because I had started the search at the last minute! He was very accommodating and attentive--I asked for halal food and let him know about some allergies and he took note of all of them. I asked about some menu changes and he gave options and details of the menu, which I was very happy with as they all sounded delicious. He assured me that we didn't to do or prepare anything and to just enjoy the evening. Overall, the ordering process was very smooth.

Joanna was our assigned chef and she came right on time with all the ingredients and serving plates and utensils that she needed. We absolutely loved having her as our chef and it was very cool to see her work so efficiently and attentively in our small kitchen. She came with customized printed menus which made lovely keepsakes for us and our guests! She took the time to explain the dishes, giving a brief history and context of the dishes as we are quite new to Greek food. Joanna really added to the festive atmosphere. She also cleaned everything up, boxing up leftovers as well, so we really didn't need to do anything except enjoy the food!

The dishes themselves--absolutely spectacular. It was a great mix of fresh, tangy salads and delicious savory main courses. The cheese and olive oil were specially sourced and we loved the aroma of the cooking as well. The meatballs, eggplant fritters, slowcooked beef, freshly baked puff pastry and orange lavender semolina cake were so delicious, not to mention the various sauces that came with the dishes! The mix of flavors were one to remember and it made the whole celebration perfect! I requested the sharing table rather than courses, which was perfect for our small and cosy party (which included a toddler who wouldn't stay still!).

Overall, this was a fantastic evening that was only possible because of Joanna, Panagiotis and the Noêma team. Thank you so much for a memorable experience and we can't wait to call on you again!”
